The Black Cats will be looking to turn their encouraging European form into domestic points after securing a dramatic 2-1 victory over Portuguese side S.C.U. Torreense in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Noah Sadiki struck an injury-time winner to seal the victory and provide a timely boost ahead of a challenging away fixture at Bournemouth.

Régis Le Bris’ side have found results harder to come by in the Premier League, with just one victory from their opening six matches.

Sunderland will therefore be keen to rediscover the consistency that made them competitive last season, particularly after suffering a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Brighton in their most recent league outing.
