Sunderland announce midfielder Jules Ahoka as third summer signing

The 20-year-old – who hails from DR Congo – arrives with huge potential, having excelled for his nation at the prestigious 2026 Toulon (Under-20) Tournament this summer, where he played a key role in their fourth-placed finish.
Ahoka joined Royal Antwerp in September 2025 from AC Normands in his home country and has featured in both of their Jupiler Pro League fixtures so far this season.
Ahoka is a combative midfielder, with outstanding defensive midfield attributes.
He follows fellow new-boys Thomas Munier and Dayann Methalie to the Stadium of Light. and has been handed the number 29 shirt on Wearside.
