Every Sunderland supporter has their own memories of the men who stood on the touchline or sat in the dugout.
For some, it might be the image of Bob Stokoe running on the pitch at Wembley in 1973, the achievements of a manager who led Sunderland to promotion, or a memorable cup run.
For others, it could simply be the manager in charge when they first walked through the turnstiles at Roker Park or the Stadium of Light.
Over more than 130 years, SAFC has had its fair share of gaffers – some hugely successful, some less so, and others whose spells in charge were brief enough to be little more than a footnote.
