Well, the 2026 World Cup ended with Spain being worthy winners despite having encountered some extreme argy-bargy in the final tie, and their recent dominance of football is something to behold.
It’s now sixty long years since West Ham won the World Cup on our home soil and, as the owner of a Hall of Mirrors might say, ‘It’s now time for some serious reflection.’
Looking back, the Hammers only had three members of that winning team, yet they’ve milked the bragging rights ever since.
But it’s time for them to stand aside because there’s a new force on the block.
