As a player, there are certain moments in the game that stay with you forever.
For former Sunderland goalkeeper Chris Turner, one of those moments came not in front of a packed Roker Park, nor at the famous Wembley Stadium, but on a Sunday evening at home with his wife Debbie, when he casually remarked that, despite hearing that a number of clubs were interested in signing him, the telephone had not rung all weekend.
Strangely, within 20 seconds, it did. On the other end of the phone was Manchester United chairman Martin Edwards, inviting Turner to Old Trafford the following morning to discuss a move to one of the biggest clubs in the world.
