Tom Burwell leaves position as Interim Chief Executive Officer

Sunderland owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus will assume the role of executive chairman and will work closely with the club's management team.
The announcement comes just a few days after Burwell made a pledge to Sunderland supporters, committing to addressing off-field issues with ticketing and other operations.
Burwell and club officials were challenged on a number of issues that fans have been met with over the summer during a meeting of the supporter collective, such as criticism of the new membership scheme and newly introduced login system.
