THE BIG PREVIEW: Sunderland v Brighton & Hove Albion

Sunderland return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon after the three-week international break as they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the Stadium of Light (3pm).

The Black Cats will be looking to respond after suffering back-to-back defeats against Arsenal and Manchester City in their last two league fixtures, with Régis Le Bris’ side having faced a difficult test against two of last season’s leading sides.

Sunderland were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal – a score which flattered the visitors - before playing their part in an entertaining contest against Manchester City, eventually losing 5-3.

Despite the results, the Black Cats have shown plenty of positives in their performances and will be determined to turn their displays into points in front of a sold-out Stadium of Light crowd.
